The 2012 Mutt March is more than just the 5K walk from McCollum Park to the Mill Creek Town Center and back. There will be plenty for dogs and their owners to do, from water-dog training clinics, to performances by Washington Owners of Flying Disc Dogs, to the YMCA K9 Costume Contest. Participants can choose to support either the Rotary Club’s First Harvest or Chase Away K9 Cancer. There will be fun activities on both Saturday and Sunday, June 2nd and 3rd at McCollum Park.

Mutt March – Join hundreds of dog lovers at Mutt March 2012 to help support two great organizations: Chase Away K9 Cancer and Rotary First Harvest (which supports local food banks). This year, you choose which organization you would like to help when you register for the walk. There will be a scavenger hunt with prizes for Mutt March participants. Puget Sound DockDogs Spring Training Clinics – Does your dog like to run, jump, and swim for their favorite toy? Puget Sound DockDogs will be conducting a series of 1-hour training clinics for water loving dogs on their regulation dock and pool. Dogs must already love water play, should be a good swimmer, and love to chase their toy into the water. Clinics will be held on the hour from 8 AM to 5 PM. Space is limited, so please register early. 2012 Mutt March Regisration The cost is $25 if you and your dog are participating in the 5K walk, otherwise it is $30.
Washington Owners of Flying Disc Dogs - Watch the talented canines’ amazing Frisbee catches after the run/walk. Washington Owners of Flying Disc Dogs is dedicated to having fun with friends and their dogs through the sport of canine disc by organizing performances and competitions through private and community events.
Sunday, June 3rd – 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Northwest DockDogs Club Challenge – Northwest DockDogs will conduct three competitions on Sunday: Outdoor Big Air, Extreme Vertical, and Speed Retrieve. Dogs will compete to see who can jump the furthest and highest into the water, and to see who can retrieve a foam bumper the quickest. All participants are required to be a current member of a local affiliate DockDog Club, but spectators don’t even have to be dogs!
