26 year-old man dies after falling into Youngs Creek on Cedar Ponds Road

Rescue technicians responded to a water rescue emergency at Youngs Creek on Cedar Ponds Road on Saturday afternoon, September 28, 2019. A 26 year-old male reportedly went over the falls. The rescue team brought him up the ravine and he was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

At 3:47 pm on Saturday afternoon, September 28, 2019, crews were dispatched to a water rescue emergency at Youngs Creek on Cedar Ponds Road.

A 26 year-old Monroe man was reported to have gone over the water falls.

Rescue technicians from Fire District 5, Fire District 7, Fire District 26, and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue worked to reach the victim. They were able to bring him up from the ravine and embankment.

He was transported by aid to Evergreen Hospital, but did not survive.
