AMVETS Mill Creek Post 2018 invites all honorably discharged veterans of any era and/or current active/reserve/guard duty personnel to their monthly meeting at 6:00 pm on Monday, August 5, 2019.
The meeting will be held on the second floor of Mill Creek City Hall North in Suite 201.
AMVET Mill Creek Post 2018, in addition to making veterans more visible, has set as a goal to reinvigorate a higher sense of Patriotic respect for the flag and our history in our community and the local schools. To accomplish this we will provide veterans to speak at assemblies and local events. We also are seeking contact with Gold Star families in the area.
Randall Holton - AMVET Mill Creek Post 2018 Charter member, US Army Engineer recently succumbed to cancer as a result of his exposure to Agent Orange in Viet Nam. He like so many other brothers and sisters continue to be casualties of the Viet Nam war. Although his name will not appear on the Wall with the other 58,320 brothers and sisters, he is not to be forgotten.. All of us who were there and came home are scarred by survivors guilt, wounds, agent orange, amputations and the real silent killer PTSD.
