Community Transit is hosting an open house event to share information about their proposed fall 2018/spring 2019 service expansion and fare changes. The event takes place on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Mill Creek City Hall, South Council Chambers, 15728 Main Street, Mill Creek.
The community is encouraged to drop by any time between 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Community Transit staff will be available to answer questions and accept comments.
Community Transit proposes to increase service by 12 percent in fall 2018/spring 2019. The bulk of the service increase will be the launch of the Swift Green Line between Canyon Park and Seaway Transit Center in spring 2019. Swift will serve people who live and work along Bothell-Everett Highway, with 10-minute weekday service and 20-minute night and weekend service.
Additional proposed service changes include improving access to existing routes, adding more commuter trips, and improving transit connections.
Proposed fare changes include a 25-cent increase for local bus and DART paratransit fares, and a fare simplification for inter-county commuters.
