Our good friends at Washington Wine & Beverage Company are once again supplying the Mill Creek Festival Beer and Wine Garden with some handcrafted local brews served frosty cold, along with some great choices for those who prefer to sip a glass a wine.

It is all in front of the Main Stage entertainment, and patrons are welcome to bring in food from any of the festival food vendors just north of the beer garden.

All the proceeds from the sales of beer and wine go to fund the Mill Creek Business Association scholarship fund.

Here are some brief descriptions of what will be served, so plan to drink up, but also to drink responsibly.

Leavenworth Premium Lager
A real, premium lager, this brew shows the distinct influence of malt and hops but with a slightly softer side. Combining traditional Bavarian pilsner flavors with the bolder Northwest craft beer profile, the result is unusually tasty.

Vicious Circle Amber Ale
Well balanced and full flavored, Vicious Circle Amber Ale has a rich, malty body with a pleasant caramel character derived from a special blend of six malts. A complex hop aroma, with a hint of floral and citrus, comes from a combination of Northwest hops. It has a deep copper hue and a rich, creamy head with a fine lace that almost seem to suggest the hints of nutty sweetness and toffee that are about to follow.

Spire Mountain Dark & Dry Cider
Savor this refreshing glass of complexity. Dark & Dry’s assertive tartness is pleasingly balanced by a hint of molasses and brown sugar. More rounded and intricate than its sister ciders, this potion will appeal to beer aficionados, wine devotees, and cider enthusiasts alike.

Silver Lake 2009 Roza Red
Smooth, yet wonderfully complex, this medium bodied red blend has deep red and dark fruit flavors with a hint of pepper. Pair with lamb and beef dishes or with gorgonzola cheese.

Silver Lake 2012 Roza Riesling
Sweet honey and candied pineapple flavors with accents of orange marmalade and a touch of spice give some complexity to our Roza Riesling. Pair it with the spicy and zesty favors of Asian, Mexican or even Moroccan foods.

Girly Girl 2012 Moscato
She is full of natural sweetness and displays the bright fruit flavors of peaches and honeydew melon. Her lively acidity creates an ideal balance followed by a clean and crisp finish that almost tingles in your mouth. With gentle effervescence, luxurious aromas and delicately sweet flavors, it’s easy to see why everyone loves a bubbly personality.

Glen Fiona 2009 Basket Press Syrah
Our 2009 Basket Press Syrah possesses deep flavors of blackberry and plums, with aromas of clove, cinnamon and eucalyptus on the nose. On the palate cassis and cracked black pepper are complemented by ample acidity, assertive tannins, and a smooth finish featuring notes of chocolate and cedar. This wine would pair well with sweet and savory dishes such as roasted duck with sweet plum sauce.
