The Everett School District invites parents, students, staff, and community members to review and provide input on instruction materials for a new 10th grade integrated Physics in the Universe course at an open house on Monday, May 6, 2019, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Community Resource Center in Everett.

High school science teachers from across the district, facilitators and administrators from district science and engineering, learning management services, English language learners and special services departments come together to synthesize research as part of the High School Science and Engineering Curriculum Materials Review Team.

This year, a team of 16 staff members participated in a critical analysis of high school physical science, earth and space science, and engineering instructional materials to support a new integrated Physics in the Universe course.

They will provide to the superintendent and school board a recommendation of an instructional program that aligns with the standards and is responsive to the needs of 21st century learners.

Part of this comprehensive process is to invite staff, students, community members and parents to review the materials and provide input. The team will make their recommendation in May 2019.
