Crews were dispatched at 12:48 am on Thursday, September 12, 2019, to a reported commercial fire at the 1800 block of 180th Street SE - the Ness and Campbell Crane Warehouse, which is just south of Mill Creek city limits.

An office cleaning worker stated she had smelled something burning. She was able to get out of the building and called 911.

Firefighters arrived to heavy smoke coming from the building. They were able to extinguish the fire once they cut open the roll up doors to release the heavy smoke. The fire was in the engine of one of the cranes.

180th St SE was closed in both directions due to hose across the roadway.

There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal remained on scene to investigate the fire's cause.
