With input from our friends at Seattle Humane in Bellevue we are featuring a dog that needs a loving home.

Meet this handsome fellow Bart, an active and sweet one-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix who is filled with love and energy and can’t wait to share his zest for life with a new special someone.

He enjoys affection and attention of all kinds and is eager to please – although he’s still not always certain of what’s expected of him. Additional training would go a long way as he learns the ropes of growing up!

Bart has Spina Bifida, which is a birth defect that affects his hindquarters requiring Bart to wear a diaper at all times.  His condition doesn’t slow him down, but Bart will need a special adopter who’s willing to take on an extra special pup.

Bart would do well in a home with children four years and up and it’s also required that resident dogs are introduced to him beforehand. We’re looking for a loving adopter who has a place in their home and heart for this special pup.

This dashing youngster will make the perfect companion for an active family who loves to take on any adventure. He’ll be sure to provide you with endless love and companionship! Come into Seattle Humane and meet him today.

As with all of our dogs, Bart has been neutered, micro-chipped, and vaccinated. He will go home with a certificate for an examination by a King County veterinarian and an identification tag.

PLUS, most dog adoptions include six weeks of training in one of our on-campus dog behavior courses - a great way to start off on the right paw!
