This gorgeous girl is Maya, a reserved two-year-old Australian Shepherd, with a flowing coat of luxurious auburn fur. One look into those endearing eyes and you’ll be hooked!
Although she can be wary of strangers at first, Maya becomes a loving and charming cuddler! She just needs an understanding adopter who will give her the time it takes for her to gain your trust. Once she’s comfortable in her surroundings she has no problem accepting chin rubs, ear scratches and belly rubs.
Maya is filled with love and spunk and will gladly take on any game you might have in mind.

True to her Aussie breed, Maya is very smart and energetic. She would love to learn new tricks to go along with the basic commands she’s already learned.

Ongoing training is a great way to boost her self-confidence and cement a bond between the two of you.
If you’re looking for an intelligent, athletic, beauty who can keep up with you on your hikes, runs, and other adventures, Maya may be the girl you’ve been searching for.
Will you be the one to shower her with TLC? Come meet this dynamite sweetheart today at Seattle Humane before she charms her way into someone else’s heart. You won’t regret it!

Maya will need to live in a home with children 16 years and older and resident dogs are required to visit her prior to adoption. We’re looking for a loving adopter who has a place in their home and heart for this special pup.

As with all of our dogs, Maya has been spayed, micro-chipped, and vaccinated. She will go home with a certificate for an examination by a King County veterinarian and an identification tag. PLUS, most dog adoptions include 30 days of pet insurance from Trupanion and a training rebate when you complete a dog behavior course – a great way to start off on the right paw!
