Senior Services of Snohomish County is offering a free six week workshop in July/August 2013.
This is the first time Senior Services has offered Living Well as an evening workshop. Register now for the session beginning Thursday July 11th.
This six-week workshop, developed by Stanford University’s Patient Education Department, is designed to help individuals who have an ongoing condition (such as diabetes, asthma, heart disease, chronic pain, arthritis, and hypertension) improve the quality of their lives.
Learn to reduce stress and frustration, manage symptoms, set weekly goals, problem-solve effectively, improve communication, relax, handle difficult emotions, eat well, and exercise safely.
Family members, friends, and caregivers can also participate.
The two six-week workshops are as follows:
- Six Mondays, March 4th - April 8th, 2013, 11:30am to 2:00pm. Open to YMCA members and non-members.
- Six Thursdays, July 11th -August 15th, 2013, 6:00pm-8:30pm. Open to YMCA members and non-members.

The 6-week workshop is FREE!! You will also receive the book “Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions” free of charge. Space is limited, so register early.
