A fun community event returns to Mill Creek

The Mill Creek Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring the Search for the Mill Creek Superhero again this summer for Mill Creek residents.
Find the Mill Creek Superhero

The Mill Creek Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring the Search for the Mill Creek Superhero again this summer. The City encourages Mill Creek residents to get active and visit the beautiful parks throughout the City with this treasure hunt. Parks and Recreation Supervisor, Pam Olson, said that 72 families participated in the event last year.

An 8½ x 11 photo of the Superhero will be posted in a different Mill Creek park each week for six consecutive weeks over the summer beginning July 2, 2012. The object is to log on to the City’s website to get the latest clue to the Superhero’s location for that week.

Here are the steps for participants:

  1. Get the clue off the City’s website, www.cityofmillcreek.com.
  2. Decipher the clue to figure out which park the Superhero is visiting that week.
  3. Visit the park and find the photo of the Superhero.
  4. Take their picture next to the Superhero.
  5. Email the picture, their name, their address and their phone number to ParksandRec@cityofmillcreek.com.

The following week, a winner will be drawn from all participants who send in an email and photo (one per Mill Creek residence).

One prizewinner will be drawn each Wednesday beginning July 11, 2012 and ending August 15, 2012.

The business community is encouraged to participate by donating the weekly prizes.

Please visit the website at www.cityofmillcreek.com for a complete list of Mill Creek Parks and remember to check for clues each week.

Contact Pam Olson via email, pam@cityofmillcreek.com, or by phone, 425-921-5737, for more information.
