The Jackson High School boys basketball team beat Mount Vernon High School 66-37 in a 4A Wesco District 1 tournament semi-final game at Glacier Peak High School on Friday, February 8, 2013.
Aaron Lommers of the Everett Herald reports, “The Jackson Timberwolves used an impressive second-quarter defensive effort to hold Mount Vernon to just four points and help them secure a 66-37 victory over the Bulldogs in the 4A District 1 tournament semifinals on Friday.”
“Offensively, the Timberwolves were led by Brian Zehr, who scored a game-high 22 points.”
“Jackson's Jason Todd added 19, Connor Willgress scored 11 and Dan Kingma had nine, all on three-pointers.”
“In an earlier season meeting with Mount Vernon that was much closer, Todd provided the bulk of the offense. That was not the case on Friday.”
