High school boys basketball - Sultan 68, Archbishop Murphy 51

The Sultan High School boys basketball team defeated Archbishop Murphy High School 68-51 in a 3A Cascade Confernce game at Archbishop Murphy High School on Tuesday, January 8, 2013.

"Senior forward Brock VandenEkart scored 18 points and Sultan outscored Archbishop Murphy 20-11 in the fourth quarter as the Turks defeated Archbishop Murphy and moved into third place in the Cascade Conference standings," reports the Everett Herald.

"Archbishop Murphy was led by Josh Parafina's nine points."

Archbishop Murphy High School's boys basketball team is now 4-3 in 3A Cascade Confernece play and 6-4 overall.

The Sultan High School boys basketball team is now 5-2 in 3A Cascade Conference play and 6-6 overall.
