Holiday weight loss is the Mill Creek Food Bank's gain

The pursuit of weight loss at Inner Athlete Fitness Studio's Thanksgiving Turkey Burn Workout will not only enhance the fitness of participants, it will also benefit individuals and families in our area who utilize the services of the Mill Creek Food Bank.

Bright and early at 7 am on Thanksgiving, November 28, 2013, and then again on at 9 am and 10 am on Black Friday, November 29, 2013, the trainers at Inner Athlete Fitness Studio will be offering a great workout in exchange for a $10 cash donation to the Mill Creek Food Bank.

Donations will be matched by Inner Athlete and gifted to the Mill Creek Food Bank, where eighty-six (86) cents out of every dollar supports community services for people in need.

The trainers at Inner Athlete understand and utilize the power of nutrition as a foundation for good health and fitness, in addition to the benefits of regular physical activity.  Recognizing that some families don't always have access to nourishing food and support, the owners of Inner Athlete wanted a creative way to change that.

Rachel Gaffney and I are both moms and see the direct benefits at home of what we encourage at the Studio about nutrition, clean eating, and making good choices.  When families don't have access to basic dietary choices and good options, that ability gets compromised.  We want our Studio and the success of our clients to benefit the greater community and we can't think of a better way to do that then to offer a fun morning workout for participants while supporting the Food Bank.

Our goal is to donate $1,000 to the Mill Creek Food Bank, but I have a feeling we'll exceed that amount; because our Inner Athlete clients are a generous, community-focused group!
