Jackson High School Boy's Basketball Team Advances to State Quarterfinals

The Seattle Times and the Everett Herald both reported that the Jackson High School boy’s basketball team defeated Federal Way 50 to 45 in Friday’s state 4A regional playoffs at Kent-Meridian High School. The Timberwolves advance to the State quarterfials and will play Union High School at the Tacoma Dome on Thursday, March 1st at 7:30 PM.
 
Sophomore Jason Todd was Jackson High School’s high scorer with 28 points.  The six-foot-five guard/forward got 19 points in the second half including Jackson’s final nine points.  Senior Sam Brown was the second-leading scorer for Jackson with 13 points.
 
Federal Way got off to a fast start and led the game by five points at halftime.  However, the Jackson team didn’t panic and came from behind to win the game as they did several times during the regular season.
