Both the Everett Herald and the Seattle Times reported on the Timberwolves’ 50-37 victory over Kentwood on Saturday. Jackson High School’s fifth-ranked girl’s basketball team goes on to the state 4A quarterfinals in Tacoma on Thursday, March 1st. They play Mount Ranier High School at 10:30 AM.
Kristin Stoffell was Jackson’s high scorer with 13 points. The senior successfully adjusted to new prescription goggles that she had only been wearing for two days. An eye infection required her to don the goggles instead of her usual contact lenses.
Kelli Kingma was Jackson High School’s second highest scorer with a total of 12 points. Her first-quarter offense helped the Timberwolves get off to an early lead.
