Fresh off a successful 2019 Garden Tour, Mill Creek Garden Club is ready to sightsee in your neighborhood!
The Club needs your garden for the June 2020 Tour! If you’re not sure your yard is tour worthy or if you don’t reside in any of the residential divisions in Mill Creek, don’t let that intimidate you! If you love your garden, chances are others will too. And some of the most appreciated gardens on previous tours were nearby, but outside the city. It’s a misconception to think you must have a professionally maintained garden in Mill Creek proper.
Here are some thoughts from 2019 tour participants, Paula and David Dickman, “For years friends and family have encouraged us to think about participating in the Mill Creek Garden Tour. Our gardens are very personal to us. We love them, our family and friends love them, but would 'other' people love them. We considered applying a couple times, but honestly, did not feel 'Garden Tour worthy.' Would our gardens muster up? Through a friend’s encouragement, we decided to apply, and we are so glad we did. The experience is far from intimidating. In fact, it was soooooo much fun and one of the best experiences we have had since moving to Mill Creek twelve years ago."
Contact the Garden Club before the end of August; go to www.millcreekgardenclub.com. In the upper left corner, look for Garden Tour, then Garden Tour Application. Fill it in, hit send and you will be contacted to schedule a summertime garden visit.
Be part of a great tradition; rake in rave reviews; have sooooo much fun and help Garden Club raise funds for their "Giving through Gardening" Grant Program. Do it today!
