City Manager Rebecca Polizzotto recommended that city councilmembers adjourn to a closed executive session after the initial interviews to evaluate the applicants’ qualifications.

After the executive session the city council will reconvene to a public session to nominate applicants to the finalist round, which may or may not involve further interviews.

Depending on the number of finalists, a series of votes by councilmembers will decide who will be appointed to the vacant seat.

The successful applicant will be sworn into office immediately.

Each of the candidates’ application materials are part of the public record and can be found on the City of Mill Creek’s website here: Vacant Council Seat.
