By David Wood, Mill Creek Investment Club founder.

A new investment club is being formed for anyone in the Mill Creek area who is interested in learning the principles and practices of intelligent investing.  This group will not be affiliated with any outside organization.  We will not be investing any money as a group.  Any investing will only be on your own as an individual investor.

The cost is zero.  The only expense may be minimum or modest fees for copying if it is needed for handouts.

Participants will be anyone who lives in Mill Creek and the surrounding area who wants to belong.  Club members will be asked to take an active part in studying a subject, and occasionally make a presentation to the group, participating in discussions, asking relevant questions and sharing information on investing.

The Mill Creek Community Association (MCCA) has generously allowed the club an excellent meeting room and related accouterments for study and presentations.  Meetings will be held monthly at the MCCA new headquarters building across the street from the Mill Creek Country Club.  The address is 15524 Country Club Drive, Mill Creek, WA 98012.  Directions can be found on the Internet at www.mcca.info.

I’ve been a Mill Creek resident for a number of years. I am organizing the club and will lead it until and unless a new leader is chosen.  I’ve got a BS degree in Industrial Management and an MBA from San Diego State University, and have been an individual investor for a number of years.  I want everyone to know that I am not an expert investor.

Investing is a very difficult and humbling enterprise, hence the need for continuous learning and studying the art and science before committing your wealth in doing so.

A special appeal is made to encourage all interested persons to attend, regardless of your experience in the subject.  If interested please come.

Monthly meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm through 9:00 pm.

The first meeting will be on Tuesday, October 6, 2015.

Free parking is available in the Association parking lot.

If you have any questions please call David Wood at 425-316-0337.  You may also call the MCCA at 425-316-3344.
