April 30, 2014, update.

Due to the unforeseen and unfortunate closure of 164th Street SE in Mill Creek this afternoon, MOD Pizza’s Grand Opening has been rescheduled for 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 1, 2014.

The first 52 people in line will still receive a free pizza or salad and there will be giveaways throughout the afternoon culminating with a drawing for “Free Pizza for a Year.”

From a MOD Pizza news release.

MOD Pizza is excited to announce the opening of their Mill Creek store. This newest MOD is located at 16330 Bothell-Everett Highway, Mill Creek, WA 98012. The doors will open on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 5:00 pm, and the entire community is invited.

The first 52 customers in line for the opening will receive a free MOD pizza or salad. Additionally, there will be tastings and giveaways throughout the evening, culminating in a drawing for “Free Pizza for a Year.”

In an effort to continue “Spreading MODness,” MOD is partnering with the Mill Creek Food Bank who will receive 100% of the sales from opening day.

“As a company that was born and raised in the Northwest, we are thrilled to be opening in Mill Creek,” explained Scott Svenson, co-founder and CEO. “MOD is not just about great pizza. It is also about our desire to redefine and elevate the ‘fast food’ experience through a culture centered on putting people first – both the customer and our MOD Squad members. This mission motivates our teams every day, and we look forward to sharing this magic with the community of Mill Creek.”

MOD Pizza currently operates 15 company-owned stores in Washington, Oregon and California.

MOD’s artisan-style pizzas are Made-On-Demand (MOD), using organic fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces. Customers can create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of 30 featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. Pizzas and salads are the same price regardless of the number of toppings. Pizzas are hand-cooked in an 800 degree oven in less than 3 minutes and salads are hand-tossed in front of the customer. MOD also offers local draft beers, wine, sweet and savory knots, milkshakes, and house-made lemonades and iced teas.
