Final construction of Polygon Northwest’s multi-use development in East Gateway Urban Village should start soon.
Workers began preparations for construction of Mill Creek’s newest commercial development in the East Gateway Urban Village the week of February 9, 2016.
Two new buildings will be erected on the empty lot between 132nd Street SE and Buffalo Park; a two-story retail and dental building, and a one-story early learning child care building.
The residential portion of Polygon Northwest’s multi-use development comprised of 180 apartments and 122 townhomes that began construction in 2014 is essentially complete.
Retail and dental building details
The two-story retail and dental building will be located on the corner of 132nd Street SE and 44th Avenue SE.
The new building will have three retail suites totaling 5,055 square feet on the first floor and 2,612 square feet for the dental office on the second floor.
The Mill Creek Design Review Board approved the building elivations, colors, landscaping, and lighting at their June 18, 2015, meeting.
The parking lot with 30 stalls will have perimeter landscaping screening it from view on the public right-of-way along 44th Avenue SE.
Early learning child care building details
The school's design was approved on May 21, 2015, and includes a one-story 12,000 square foot building with a parking lot for 40 stalls, perimeter landscaping, and a 13,500 square foot outdoor playground enclosed with a decorative fence.
According to their website, Primrose Schools is an accredited private preschool organization operating more than 285 schools in 23 states. Their schools provide early learning opportunities for infants and children up to kindergarten age.
