The Mill Creek Hearing Examiner will hold a public hearing on Polygon Northwest’s East Gateway Urban Village binding site plan at the Mill Creek City Hall on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 6 pm.
The public is invited to attend and to make comments on the proposed development. Any person desiring to present testimony may do so at the meeting, or may submit comments in writing by 5:00 p.m. on June 26, 2013, to the City Clerk prior to such meeting.
The purpose of the hearing is to consider a Binding Site Plan application to develop property located within the East Gateway Urban Village (EGUV) zone district (formerly Henry's Plant Farm).
The project consists of subdividing 18.45 acres into several parcels and tracts for the purposes of commercial and multifamily residential development and a 1.26-acre public neighborhood park.
The Binding Site Plan also includes a request to develop the multifamily portion of the project with 122 townhomes and 180 apartments connected by public and private roads. Access to the site is proposed from a new signalized intersection at 44th Avenue SE.
The lot identified for commercial development is estimated to be able to accommodate 22,500 square feet of commercial building and associated parking. Aside from creating the lot and interim site improvements (rough grading, utility stubs, and landscaping), the development of the commercial lot is not being proposed a part of this Binding Site Plan and will be subject to City review at a future date.
