Search was on for burglar in Maltby area

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office K-9 team was tracking a burglary suspect in the area of York Rd on Monday morning, May 20, 2013.

Update from Shari Ireton, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Information Officer:

Deputies are no longer searching for a burglary suspect in the Maltby area.  It is believed the suspect fled the area on a bicycle.  Lockdowns have been lifted from all area schools.

The rider of the motorcycle struck by the suspect at the 4300 block of 229th Pl SE reported no injuries and did not require medical aid. 

The suspect has been identified using images taken during the attempted burglary and is believed to be a 37 year-old Everett man.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office K-9 team is currently tracking a burglary suspect in the area of York Rd (between 35th Ave SE and SR 524/Maltby Rd). 

At around 9:40 AM the suspect was interrupted burglarizing a residence at the 4400 block of 230th Pl SE near Bothell by the homeowner. 

The burglar fled in a black Audi, colliding with a motorcycle rider at the 4300 block of 229th Pl SE. 

The suspect then abandoned the vehicle at the 18400 block of 59th Ave SE, fleeing on foot along a power line maintenance road.

The suspect is believed to be a 37 year-old Everett man.
