Student art shows continue an 18-year tradition

Student art showcases talent from around the district this spring.

Everett Public Schools and the Everett Public Schools Foundation 18th Annual Art Shows begin in April.

Art shows are open for public viewing from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm at the Everett Public Schools Community Resource Center at 3900 Broadway in Everett.

The 2016 High School Art Show is open April 11th to 28th. The awards reception is Thursday, April 28th, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Community Resource Center.

Student awards and two special awards are announced at the High School Art Show awards reception:

  • The Superintendent’s Choice Award – Each year Superintendent Gary Cohn will select a piece of art from the show for permanent display at the district office. This award is sponsored by the Everett Public Schools Foundation.
  • The Everett Public Schools Foundation Scholarship Award – Each year a high school senior earns this $1,000 scholarship for excellence in the visual arts.

The 2016 Middle School Art Show is open May 3rd to 19th. The awards reception is Tuesday, May 17 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Community Resource Center.

The 2016 Elementary School Art Show is open for public viewing from May 24th to June 6th.
