From a Washington State House of Representatives Democrats press release.
Representative John Lovick (D-Mill Creek) recently sponsored two local students as Washington State House of Representatives pages.
Pages perform a wide variety of responsibilities, from presenting the flags to distributing amendments on the House floor.
In addition to contributing to the efficient operation of the Legislature, pages receive daily civics instruction, draft their own bills, and participate in mock committee hearings.
Isaac Yi, a student at Heatherwood Middle School, served as a page in January 2018.
Isaac is the son of Kristine Kim and Eugene Yi of Mill Creek and is interested in politics and enjoys playing video games in his spare time. He aspires to be a lawyer or a public servant.
Sarah Hole, a student at Cavelero Mid High School, served as a page for one week in February 2018.
Sarah is the daughter of Marisa Hole and William Hole of Lake Stevens and is a member of her school’s robotics club. She also enjoys rowing in her free time.
