The community is invited to join Yoga in The Center on Saturday, December 16 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm for a special winter solstice practice of gentle, restorative yoga and reclined guided meditation.
Yogis have long celebrated the change of seasons and marked these events with special yoga and meditation practices, often in warm and welcoming community settings.
This is because transitions from one season to another offer the opportunity to reflect on how we, too, may want to shift and experience a new season of our lives. Honoring changes in the external environment is a way to more deeply notice and care for our inner environments.
This special winter solstice practice will include gentle restorative yoga and reclined guided meditation (yoga nidra) that will be accessible for all levels of students.
Together we will rest, relax, and restore. We will turn inward, honor and nurture the light within, set intentions for winter, and leave ready to embrace the next season of our lives.
No experience in yoga or meditation is necessary. Please wear comfortable and warm clothing, including cozy socks.
There is a 30 student maximum. Please register in advance to save your space.
