Forever home dog of the week - Lil Miss

Lil Miss is a 3 year old Terrier mix girl. She was transferred to Seattle with her two puppies from a high-kill shelter in California and just arrived in our rescue.

Lil Miss is a 3 year old Terrier mix girl. She was transferred to Seattle with her two puppies from a high-kill shelter in California and just arrived in our rescue.

Lil Miss is housebroken and usually takes care of business twice a day. She will bark when someone knocks on the door or rings the doorbell but does not bite, nip, or bark for no reason. She is very shy and timid around people she is not familiar with.

I respectfully suggest that some of us living in greater Seattle (and many other cities in the U.S.) are a wee bit too parochial. What do I mean? I mean we can take pride in where we live. We can promote the area as if we worked for the Chamber of Commerce. But let’s leave it there.

Now I know some of you reading this are going to be upset. Trust me on this one.

To do much more makes us and the city look defensive about what we’re about and undermines the value of the area to those living elsewhere.

Mill Creek Garden Club is once again selling “Beautiful Bloomers”. They come in a variety of colors and are created for either a sunny or shady spot. Baskets are $34 which includes tax and free delivery before Mother’s Day in the Mill Creek area.

Your basket purchase gives back to the community by providing funds for our Giving through Gardening grants program which provides money for gardening projects in local grade schools.
