Polygon Northwest seeks to change their East Gateway Urban Village development agreement with Mill Creek

Polygon Northwest notified the Mill Creek City Council that they want to modify their development agreement to allow slightly different uses of the commercial portion of their East Gateway Urban Village property than originally intended.

In a March 19th, letter to the Mill Creek City Council Polygon Northwest’s Washington Division President Derek Straight wrote, “After several months of marketing the commercial parcels, we received strong interest from two parties, a local dental office and an early childcare school operator named Primrose with a local franchisee.”

Grand opening of Mill Creek’s Buffalo Park set

According to City Councilmember Sean Kelly the grand opening of Mill Creek's newest park is tentatively scheduled for April 24th.

The City of Mill Creek has set the date and time for the official grand opening of Buffalo Park to be Friday, April 24th, at 3 pm.

Mill Creek's newest park is nearing completion. The remaining work includes final construction of the restroom/picnic shelter building, final landscaping, and installation of picnic tables, benches, BBQs and the water fountain.

Target out, but Mill Creek continues to promote East Gateway Urban Village development

The East Gateway Urban Village could include approximately 350,000 square feet of retail space, 60,000 square feet of office space, and a combination of 394 town homes and apartments.

City of Mill Creek officials have pretty much given up hope that a big box store will come to town in the foreseeable future. As disclosed in recent public discussions, the amount of remaining land in Mill Creek not under development or contract is probably too small to support such a large store.

Buffalo Park is the name of Mill Creek’s newest park

A majority of the Mill Creek City Council voted to approve Buffalo Park as the name for Mill Creek’s newest park at their March 4, 2014, regular meeting. Mill Creek’s Parks and Recreation Board selected Buffalo Park as the new park’s name out of the 66 names suggested.
