Firefighters and civic groups organizing clothing drive to fund purchase of emergency medical equipment

The Everett Fire Department, Everett Medic One Foundation, and the Nick of Time Foundation are partnering with Clothes for the Cause for an event to raise money to purchase AEDs for all Everett School District high schools and middle schools.

Everett School Board authorizes purchase and sale agreement for Colby property

At a special board meeting on Thursday, July 23rd, the Everett Public Schools Board of Directors authorized district staff to proceed with a purchase and sale agreement for property at 4739 Colby Avenue in Everett with the YMCA of Snohomish County.

The board’s decision is based upon a $3,325,000 offer and all other conditions set for sale of public school property in state law.

This year 1,700 students from more than 75 countries and nearly 500 affiliated science fairs competed in the Super Bowl of science fairs.

Local candidates in Mill Creek and beyond file for 2015 Elections

The 2015 candidate-filing week closed at 4 pm on Friday, May 15th. Some elected positions only attracted single candidates, who can now breathe sighs of relief since they won’t have to campaign.

This year’s local candidates have tossed their hats into the ring and are getting ready to ask for your vote in the Primary Election on August 4th and then in the General Election on November 3rd.
