Fireworks went on sale Friday

Ready or not, fireworks went on sale for the 4th of July festivities on Friday, June 28, 2019. In unincorporated Snohomish County fireworks can only be discharged on Thursday, July 4th, from 9:00 am to 11:59 pm. Mill Creek and a number of other cities have further restricted or banned the sale and discharge of fireworks.

Ivar’s Mukilteo Landing restaurant voluntarily closes following norovirus-like illnesses

The Snohomish Health District is investigating a small number of reports of norovirus-like illness in people who dined at the Ivar’s Mukilteo Landing restaurant on Saturday, April 14th. The restaurant voluntarily closed to perform cleaning and sanitation protocols.

Remains of missing Lynwood man recovered and identified

Divers with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office recovered human remains found in a vehicle underwater near the Mukilteo ferry dock on Friday, July 22nd.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner has identified those remains as belonging to 20 year-old Jose Sanchez Diaz, who went missing last August. Cause and manner of death are pending from the ME’s Office.
