Falling leaves signal the arrival of fall as summer gently waves goodbye.

A Mill Creek Garden Club volunteer crew battled Mother Nature’s fury as they cleaned up fallen leaves at the Veterans Monument in Library Park on October 27, 2021!

Answering the call of Garden Projects Chair Carol Taylor were Linda Gilmartin, Kelly Hatfield, Julie Jacobson, Alice O’Grady, and Sandy Somers.

A little weeding, deadheading of spent flowers, raking, blowing, and sweeping made for a lovely area around the Monument’s columns.

The perfect spot for resting, chatting, and enjoying the fruits of their labor?

The Mill Creek Garden Club bench, of course!

Thank you, ladies, for a job well done!
