Many food banks receive the majority of their donations during the holidays. Unfortunately, that doesn’t last throughout the whole year.

The teachers and students in Forest View’s kindergarten, first- and second-grade classes, as well as Silver Firs’ and Cedar Wood’s kindergarten classes collected approximately 2,000 cans of food for the 100 Days of School, 100 Days of Caring for the Mill Creek Food Bank.

“All the teachers were so proud of the kids and their families for helping the food bank at this time of the year,” said Kari Henderson, Forest View Elementary School teacher. “The food bank was thrilled to get the food as well!”
