High school softball – Meadowdale 2, Jackson 1

The Meadowdale High School Mavericks beat the Timberwolves 2-1 in a cross-conference game at Meadowdale High School on Monday, March 25, 2013.

David Krueger of the Everett Herald reports, “Timberwolves freshman pitcher Sophie Frost took on Meadowdale senior hurler Alyssa Reuble, with Reuble's Mavericks coming out on top 2-1 in a nonleague game at Meadowdale High School.”

“Meadowdale, which found itself down 1-0 after the first inning, didn't get a hit off Frost until the fourth, when the Mavericks had four hits — including an RBI single by sophomore Hailey Costello — and tied the score 1-1.”

“Ciarra Hart, another sophomore, hit an RBI double in the bottom half of the sixth inning to score Tiffany DeWayne, who scored both Meadowdale runs, to give the Mavericks the lead for good.”

Jackson High School has yet to play a 4A Wesco South Conference game and is 3-2 overall.

Meadowdale High School has yet to play a 3A Wesco South Conference game and is now 4-0 overall.
