The Northwest Stream Center in McCollum Park is offering live trees for sale that can be returned to the Stream Center after the holiday season and planted next to salmon streams in the spring of 2015.
On Saturday, December 13th, 2014, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm there will be 200 live and wild Holiday Trees for Salmon for sale. The varieties include Sitka Spruce, Western Red Cedar and Douglas Fir. They cost $35 to $50 and are between three feet and six feet high.
As you enjoy your Holiday Tree for Salmon during the season, you can also enjoy the fact that your tree will help out salmon next year.

As a gift from Northwest Stream Center, anyone who purchases a Holiday Tree for Salmon will receive 2015 general membership in the Adopt A Stream Foundation (a $25 value).
Another incentive to visit Northwest Stream Center on December 13th is that it will be a tax free day at the Nature Store.
You will also be able to take a walk on the Elevated Nature Trail (approximately 75% complete) and see what 100-year old Sitka Spruce, Western Red Cedar and Douglas Fir trees look like.
