On Friday, May 10, 2019, the City of Mill Creek published a public notice regarding a proposed mixed use development in East Gateway Urban Village.
It states the Mill Creek Hearing Examiner will conduct a public hearing at City Hall at 6:00 pm on Thursday evening, May 23rd, to consider the Binding Site Plan application for The Farm at Mill Creek.
The city is asking that public comments be submitted in writing before the hearing, or during the hearing.
The proposed mixed-use development is comprised of ten buildings on a 17-acre site. The buildings will house retail businesses, medical offices, and multi-family apartments.
According to the City of Mill Creek, “Access to the site will be a new public road connection to 132nd Street SE (SR 96) at the signalized intersection at 39th Avenue SE.”
The city's public notice states, "The development includes associated parking, stormwater facilities, public plazas and open spaces with landscaping and walking paths that connect to the existing trails on adjacent properties. A wetland buffer reduction is proposed. The reduction is offset with on- and off-site mitigation that results in a regional benefit."
The Mill Creek City Council approved a development agreement for the new mixed-use project on March 29th.

Any person desiring to present testimony may do so at the meeting, or may submit comments in writing by 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 23, 2019, to the City Clerk prior to the public hearing.
