The Mill Creek Women's Club October program highlights new novelist, Heather Harpham.
The Mill Creek Women’s Club is proud to present, at their General Membership Meeting on October 16, 2019, Heather Harpham, author of the non-fiction memoir entitled “Happiness: The Crooked Little Road to Semi-Ever After” as the Club’s special guest.
Ms. Harpham is an American writer and theater performer, born and raised in northern California, who lives and works in New York. Her fiction, essays and reviews have appeared in MORE Magazine, Water-Stone Review and the Gallatin Review. Her writing for the stage includes six solo plays; the two most recent, "Happiness" and "Burning," have been presented throughout the US. She currently teaches at Sarah Lawrence College and SUNY Purchase.
“Happiness: The Crooked Little Road to Semi-Ever After,” her first book, describes her struggle with her daughter’s serious medical condition.
The University Bookstore will make Ms. Harpham’s book available for purchase and an author signing after her presentation.
And don’t forget: On November 20, the Club will host its annual fundraiser for the local charities it supports: Woodside Elementary School, YWCA Pathways for Women program, Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center, and Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County.
The General Membership Meetings of the Mill Creek Women’s Club are now held at the Hilton Garden Inn at Canyon Park. Registration begins at 10:30 am. For information about these meetings or membership in the Mill Creek Women’s Club, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
