From a Rotary Club of Mill Creek press release.

The May 2021 Students of the Month were selected with the theme of Academic Excellence.

The Rotary Club of Mill Creek Student of the Month from Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center is Heather Fordham.

She is a senior from Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center Medical Assisting Program who has shown tremendous effort in continuing to go above and beyond in the workload in her class. At the same she has been working a full-time job since turning 18 years old.

Heather is a special person who is going to excel at anything she wants to do. She has this ability to stay calm and is motivated to push herself to gain as much knowledge and skills as possible because she always wants to do her best.

We look forward to seeing her achieve greatness in life and she is very deserving of this recognition.

The Rotary Club of Mill Creek honors Students of the Month from Henry M. Jackson High School, Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy High School, and Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center at the second weekly meeting of each month during the school year.

After being chosen by the principal and staff of their school based on the month's theme, the students and their families are invited to the meeting where each student speaks about their accomplishments and receives a Rotary Club of Mill Creek Student of the Month Certificate.

Rotary Club members can also ask questions of each student about their interests, goals and future plans.

Although the meetings are held via ZOOM during COVID, hopefully the students will soon be able to return to live meetings.
