Scott Dorsey appointed Fire District 7 Medical Services Administrator

At the May 23, 2013 Board Meeting Scott Dorsey was appointed Medical Services Administrator (MSA) of Snohomish County Fire District 7.

Dorsey has served in the interim position since 2010 when the previous MSA retired. The MSA is responsible for managing the district’s emergency medical services.

“Chief Dorsey has done an outstanding job while serving in the interim MSA position,” said Fire Chief Gary Meek. “He has gone above and beyond to make sure our citizens receive the best emergency medical care. We know he will continue to serve our community with great enthusiasm and professionalism.”

Dorsey has more than 23 years of experience in the fire service, starting as a volunteer with Fire District 7 in 1990. After being hired as a paid employee in 1992 he went on to become the first firefighter sponsored by Fire District 7 to complete paramedic training in 1996. He was promoted to lieutenant in 2004, Medical Services Officer in 2009, and lastly, promoted to interim MSA in 2010. Dorsey is married with four children.
