This year marks the 25th anniversary of the YWCA Inspire Luncheons, when more than 3,400 guests come from far and wide for a lunchtime experience like no other.
The Luncheons are an opportunity to connect with others in support of a shared cause – empowering women and families – and celebrate the achievements of the YWCA across Seattle, King and Snohomish counties.
Spend your lunch time at the 2013 Inspire Luncheons to learn about the work of the YWCA, listen to engaging speeches, and be inspired by women whose lives were transformed by YWCA services.
The YWCA Snohomish County Inspire Luncheon will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2013. The featured keynote speaker is Elizabeth Gilbert, bestselling author of the memoirs, “Eat, Pray, Love” and “Committed."
The emcee for this event will be Jean Enersen of KING 5 TV.
“Eat, Pray, Love” is about the year Gilbert spent traveling the globe after a difficult divorce. It was embraced by women and men alike and made her a role model for readers around the world. The book was made into a movie starring Julia Roberts.
A donation is requested at the luncheon, to benefit the efforts of the YWCA Seattle-King-Snohomish to advance the lives of women and families.
The event takes place from Noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center, Comcast Arena, 2000 Hewitt Ave Everett, WA 98201.
