After a successful book sale at the North Creek Presbyterian Church, the Grant Committee of the Friends of the Mill Creek Library awarded grants to two local educators: Heatherwood Middle School Teacher/Librarian Sara Herber and Jackson High School Teacher Patricia Michaelle Frank.
Undefeated this season and bringing home an unprecedented fourth win, Jackson High School’s robotics Team 2910 Jack In The Bot clinched the 2019 FIRST Washington Pacific Northwest Championship and are headed to Houston for the national competition the week of April 16th to 21st.

After a full day of competition on Friday, February 22nd, the Jackson High School Jazz Choir, an ensemble directed by Craig Schell, was named the winner of Senior Area Mic Ensembles at the University of Idaho's annual jazz festival.

In an effort to reduce high school overcrowding at Jackson and Cascade High Schools, the Everett School District is considering boundary changes that will shift students from these high schools to Everett High School beginning in the fall of 2020.
A Capital Bond Planning Committee is now being formed to help the Everett School Board plan for recent and future student body growth. The committee will work to develop a capital bond recommendation by early summer 2019.
