High school boys tennis: Jackson 7, Edmonds-Woodway 0

The Everett Herald reports that the Jackson High School Timberwolves beat Edmonds-Woodway High School 7-0 in a 4A tennis match at home on Monday, September 10th.

"Singles--Ben Mietzner (J) def. Dylan Merrill 6-0, 6-0; Peter Cung (J) def. Jason Smarr 6-4, 6-3; James Okubo (J) def. Max Teer 6-2, 6-0; Everet Wang (J) def. Eric Bryant 6-0, 6-1."

High school football: Jackson 44, Everett 7

The Everett Herald reports that the Jackson High School Timberwolves beat Everett High School 44-7 at Everett Memorial Stadium on Friday, September 7th.

"Timberwolves quarterback Conor Plaisance threw two touchdowns to Trey Robinson and John-Robert Woolley added two scores on the ground to lead Jackson to a nonleague victory over Everett. Garret Wise caught a 71-yard pass from Nolan Rogge for the Seagulls' lone touchdown."

High school girls soccer: Kamiak 1, Jackson 0

The Everett Herald reports that the Kamiak High School girls soccer team shutout the Timberwolves 1-0 at Kamiak High School on Thursday, September 6th.

"Kamiak's Emele Chaddock scored the game's lone goal on an assist from Bailey Lux-Lowry to lead the Knights to a win over Jackson in a Wesco 4A South game."

The Jackson High School girls soccer team is now 1-1 in the league, and 1-1 overall.

Jackson High students take top honors at national technical conference

Sophomores Sri and Sai Nimmagadda (pictured back row, center with trophy) came home from Nashville, Tennessee last month with first place wins from the National Technology Student Association (TSA) Conference. Approximately 4,500 students from the United States, Germany, and Turkey attended the technical conference.

The winning duo traveled to the competition as members of the Jackson High TSA team with advisor Rick Wigre (pictured above, front left).

Jackson High School's Conner Martin finishes the 2012 Ironman Coeur d'Alene triathlon

Rich Myhre of the Everett Herald reports that Conner Martin, a 2009 Jackson High School graduate, competed in and finished the 2012 Ironman Coeur d'Alene triathlon after recovering from his 2011 brain surgery.

The 2012 Ironman Couer d'Alene had over 2,500 competitors. Martin's time was 14 hours, 13 minutes, and 58 seconds which placed him 33rd in the male 18-24 division. There were 12 athletes in this division that didn't finish the race.
