Tips from videos lead Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office to suspect identification and arrests

Detectives in this case are now looking for 26 year-old Melissa Linder who is believed to be the female in the video.  Linder may be living in Lake Stevens and is wanted for identity theft, forgery and possession of stolen property.

Tips came in from the public after three YouTube videos were posted by the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and led to the identification of four criminal suspects and two arrests. 

On November 5, 2013, the Sheriff’s Office was looking for help in identifying a man and woman from surveillance footage compiled in a video (“Suspects on a Shopping Spree”).

On average, NFPA research shows that heating equipment is involved in more than 62,550 reported U.S. home structure fires per year, with associated loss of more than 516 civilian deaths, more than 1,595 civilian injuries and roughly $924 million in direct property damage per year.

Extra holiday DUI patrols on the road in Snohomish County this weekend

The annual emphasis patrol is scheduled for this weekend, December 13 through December 15, 2013, with extra patrols planned through the New Year.

Search is on for Lynwood assault suspect

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching the area east of Lynwood for an assault suspect driving a car he allegedly shot at after being asked to return it to the owner. The search began at about 11 am on Wednesday morning, November 20, 2013.

The vehicle is a light green 2001 Subaru Legacy with Washington license plate #468YJO with shotgun damage on the driver’s side door.  The suspect is a 6’4” male with short black hair, weighing approximately 240 lbs., last seen wearing a green Carhart hooded sweatshirt, dressed in camouflage pants, boots and baseball cap.
